When I began writing "Taming Ivy" three years ago, I gathered some tools. Of these, "The Little Red Writing Book" gave me the most practical advice. I still thumb through it when I'm stuck in a scene. My other two favorites are "The Positive Trait Thesaurus" and "The Emotion Thesaurus". They are great when you are having trouble trying to describe your character, without "describing" your character lol. Do you have a favorite tool for writing?
